Burlesque Lounge has its best days behind it. Tess, retired dancer and owner of the site, struggling to keep the aging theater alive, facing all financial and artistic nature of the problem. With members of the troupe Rooms becoming increasingly distracted by personal problems and the dangers that come from a rich businessmans quest to buy the site of Tess, fortune seems to leave the club altogether. Meanwhile, the life of Ali, a small-town girl from Iowa, is about to change dramatically. Working with Tess as a waitress at the Lounge, Ali fleeing a past empty and quickly falls in love with the art of burlesque. Supported by friends among the theaters crew, she gets realize their dreams, which is the stage itself. Things take a dramatic turn though when Alis big voice makes her become the main attraction of the magazine. |
