In 1963, Frances Baby Houseman, daughter Daddys sweet, goes with her family to a resort in upstate New Yorks Catskill Mountains. Baby has grown up in a privileged environment and all expect her to go to college, join the Peace Corps and save the world before marrying a doctor, just like his father. Unexpectedly, Baby becomes infatuated with the camp dance instructor, Johnny Castle, a man whose background is very different from their own. Baby lies to her father to get money to pay for illegal abortion for Johnnys dance partner. Then record as Johnnys dance partner and it is because he taught her to dance that they fall in love. It all came apart when Johnnys friend falls seriously ill after her abortion and Baby are his father and save her child's life.
